Being ready for emergencies and disasters in advance is one of the best ways to mitigate such situations, to the extent possible. We encourage you to use our emergency preparedness webpages to guide you.
Hays County CERT compiled a variety of documents* and other information to help you be more prepared for most any emergency, including overall steps for emergency preparedness, checklists and supply lists, how to stop the bleed, and using a fire extinguisher. Several documents are regarding older adults and pets, in terms of emergency preparedness.
